The Colorado Association for Viticulture & Enology (CAVE) is Colorado’s only non-profit trade association dedicated to supporting the state’s grape growers and winemakers. As a member-based organization, CAVE exists to advance Colorado’s wine and grape industry through advocacy, education, and community. We represent the interests of our members in legislative and political matters, provide a platform for the exchange of ideas, and share best practices in viticulture and enology. By building connections with regional and statewide partners, we work to strengthen and grow Colorado’s vibrant wine industry.
The Executive Director serves as the chief executive of the Colorado Association for Viticulture & Enology (CAVE), providing strategic leadership and operational oversight for Colorado’s statewide grape growing and wine industry organization.
This role is responsible for advancing CAVE’s mission to support and unify Colorado’s wine industry through advocacy, education, marketing, stakeholder engagement, and signature statewide programs and events. The Executive Director serves as the primary voice and representative of the organization and the industry, working across public, private, and nonprofit sectors to strengthen the long-term viability and recognition of Colorado wine. The Executive Director is charged with positioning Colorado as a premier U.S. wine region, elevating the industry’s visibility, competitiveness, and influence through proactive leadership, collaboration, and advocacy. The Executive Director reports directly to the Board of Directors and is responsible for executing the organization’s strategic priorities, ensuring financial sustainability, and leading a high-performing team in delivering impactful programs. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines strategic direction with direct execution of key programs and relationships.
