One of the most common requests we hear from Colorado wineries is, “How do I find growers with the grapes I’m looking for?” Likewise, growers have consistently asked for better ways to connect with wineries seeking Colorado-grown fruit.
The Colorado Grape Growers Database was created to help bridge that gap.
The idea for a statewide grape database grew out of the Rooted in Colorado collaborative sessions held during our VinCO Conference & Trade Show. Those facilitated discussions brought together grape growers, winemakers, researchers, and industry partners to identify priorities for strengthening Colorado’s wine industry.
A recurring theme emerged throughout the conversations: the industry needed a centralized, easy-to-use resource that would help growers and wineries find one another, improve communication, and create more opportunities to keep Colorado-grown grapes in Colorado wines.
Following those discussions, CAVE worked with growers and wineries across the state to gather feedback on what information would be most valuable. The result is the first version of the Colorado Grape Growers Database, a collaborative resource built by the industry, for the industry.

Please note: The database is intended as a networking and connection tool. It does not include grape pricing. Instead, it allows wineries to identify potential growers and connect directly to discuss availability, harvest timing, and pricing privately.
Whether you’re searching for a specific varietal, exploring new vineyard partnerships, or looking to source Colorado-grown fruit, this resource is designed to make those connections easier.
The Colorado Grape Growers Database complements the CAVE Classifieds Board.
Think of the database as a directory of who is growing what across Colorado, while the Classifieds Board is where growers and wineries can post current needs and opportunities throughout the season.
Use the database to identify potential vineyard partners, then visit the CAVE Classifieds Board to advertise grapes available for harvest, grapes wanted, equipment, employment opportunities, and other industry listings.
Together, these two resources provide year-round tools to strengthen communication and collaboration across Colorado’s wine industry.
To make this information available before harvest, we’ve launched the database in a simple spreadsheet format so growers and wineries can begin using it immediately.
