The CAVE Weather Station Network consists of six CAVE weather stations, plus data from an additional station at the Colorado State University Orchard Mesa Research Center. The stations are located in vineyards scattered throughout the Grand Valley American Viticultural Area. The six stations were funded by CAVE and the Colorado State University’s Specialty Crops Center (through funds provided by the USDA) for a three-year Powdery Mildew Research Project from 2002-2004.

Dr. Horst Caspari, Dr. Harold Larsen, and Rod Sharp from CSU have acted as our technical advisors for the program, and they help CAVE maintain this network. The weather data is available for general access.

There are a limited number of logins permitted at any given point in time, so please leave the database as soon as you are finished to allow others access. Since the weather page changes frequently, we recommend that you bookmark this introduction page for access.
