Hands-on workshop for new vineyard owners focusing on pruning basics and general grape growing.

Description

Getting a vineyard started is daunting and the most frightening and time consuming task is pruning. Join Lyndsey Rowzee and Charlotte Oliver for a hands-on workshop to learn what you need to do to get comfortable with pruning and meet the new CSU extension viticulturist. Charlotte will provide individual coaching in the vineyard to help you become more comfortable working with grapes.

Held in-person at Salt & Acres Winery, 9490 Co Rd 25, Fort Lupton, CO 80621, USA

The event will be from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM Mountain Time.

Registration will be limited to 35 people to allow space for participants to work in the vineyard.

Cost: $50, covers pruners, safety blade for checking buds, workshop handouts, a wine tasting, and refreshments.

Speaker Biography

Charlotte works as the regional viticulture extension specialist for Colorado State University Extension, stationed in Grand Junction, Colorado. current program goal is to fill in the educational gaps between the active CSU research programs and the Colorado industry and hopefully start understanding the grape viruses across the state.
