Meadery of the Rockies

Mead, also known as honey wine, is produced by fermenting a mixture of honey and water. At Meadery of the Rockies, our process begins with 100% pure orange blossom honey. Using delicious Rocky Mountain water, special yeast strains and the additional technique necessary, the honey and water mixture is carefully fermented and fashioned into numerous, delightful meads. We hand-craft and bottle them at our winery in western Colorado. We invite you to come take a peek at the process. Our expert team will be happy to show you where all the magic happens!
Our winemaking team creates more than a dozen meads that range from traditional and fruit blended meads, to dessert meads fortified with high proof grape spirits.

The Meadery of the Rockies is consistently ranked number one on TripAdvisor for activities in Palisade. As Colorado’s oldest meadery, we strive to be the most “bee-loved.”

The tasting room offers complementary tasting and houses a wide variety of local honey products.

We currently ship to 19 states nationwide and offer a very flexible wine club.
