DeBeque Canyon Winery

Bennett and Davelyn (Davy) Price have traveled the wine journey from home winemaking, to grape growers, to partnering in an early Colorado winery. They established DeBeque Canyon Winery in 1997. Along the way Bennett was involved in the design and planting of, by some estimates, more than half of vineyards throughout the Grand Valley and Western Slope.

Lone Cedar, the Price’s consulting firm, is still active in providing consulting and agriculture supplies to orchard and vineyard growers across Colorado. However, the winery is their focus. DeBeque is recognized for full-flavored red wines and fruity, dry white wines. Lengthy barrel aging has always been part of DeBeque’s winemaking program, which also produces several Port-style wines. Visitors are welcome to visit the cool interior of the working winery where the Tasting Room has its’ niche. Tours are available by appointment.

Tours and tastings are available 10 a.m.–6 p.m. daily (October–April winter hours:10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and noon–5 p.m. Friday and Sunday).
