Grand Valley

More than 80 percent of the grapes grown in Colorado come from the Grand Valley. The warm summer days and cool nights allow most well-known grapes to grow in this region, which stretches from the mouth of De Beque Canyon into Grand Junction. There are several micro climates in the Grand Valley, which is also one of two AVAs in Colorado, which results in a diverse grape growing region. Cabernet Sauvignon, Riesling, Merlot and Syrah are just some of the many varieties that can prosper in the Grand Valley.
